Pokémon Iberia is a remake of the classic game Pokemon in which the graphics and texts have been completely revamped, this time geared toward Spain. In Pokemon Iberia, you'll start out in Albacete instead of Pueblo Paleta, and rather than checking in with Professor Oak, you'll have to talk with renowned Spanish naturalist Félix Rodr*.

Pokémon Iberia is clearly a tongue-in-cheek spin-off and any player who is at least somewhat familiar with Spanish culture and folklore will find nonstop jokes, easter eggs, and cultural references. In this sense, it is almost inevitable to draw parallels with the huge hit "La Lellenda de la Cerda" at the end of the 90s, a game that had a lasting impact on an entire generation of Spaniards.
When you look at the game's narrative and characters, Pokémon Iberia is almost identical to any other title in the series. In essence, you must capture Pokémon and defeat your enemy rivals while exploring the world (i.e. Spain). The difficulty of the game is higher than it was in the original titles.
Iberia is a special game based on the Pokémon franchise. Although if you don't enjoy Pokémon, you're not going to enjoy this. Also, if you're not familiar with Spain or Spanish, you will probably not get it. However, anyone interested in Spanish culture and Pokémon will find this a real treat.
