Planes was once a prosperous world, but under the cruel reign of the insane king Magnus, it is on the verge of extinction. An army recruited to save the people from Magnus's lunacy faced the fateful event that would end their days together. A massive tree of death erupted out of the earth, driving some inside its lethal bloom to devour their allies' flesh and others to transform into hideous creatures.
The world was visited by the goddess Veda, who chose a new champion to assist in lifting the world's curse. The only people who can restore order to the planet are you and the other Knights of Veda.

Difficult bosses wait in their Sealed Prisons, while in the Nightmare, an endless supply of creatures and undead charge at you. As you battle these monsters by yourself, you'll gain gifts that will bolster your Knights of Veda.
Fighting Tactically and Stylishly
It is your responsibility as the Master of the Book to make the greatest use of the Knights of Veda in order to defeat difficult but skillfully crafted bosses and monsters. Use the talents and weaponry that each Knight of Veda possesses to the fullest extent that you can.
Up to four Knights of Veda may travel with you on your adventure, or you can play cooperatively and work through the obstacles as a group.
