RainAware can only be used in the United States, Guam, and Puerto Rico. As RainAware relies on National Weather Service radars, it may not work if a radar is down or if mountains block the beam. In rare cases, ground clutter can cause your location to report rain as a false positive. Sprinkles or drizzles that are extremely light may not always be detected. RainAware adjusts for rapidly changing weather conditions, changing the precipitation time. The form of precipitation can occur suddenly or dissipate at any time.
