The purpose of publishing this CAP is to provide assistance to operators who want to carry out civil Search and Rescue helicopter operations in the UK in compliance with national requirements and recommended practices. It gives an expected means of compliance as well as help in selecting operational processes and the construction of an Operations Manual.
This edition has been revised to include the approved alternative proposed by the CAA to fulfill the prerequisite for PC1 at the Hospital HLS.
