Utilize the front camera or switches to operate your phone or tablet. Toggle between things, scroll, type text, and more via switches.
With Switch Access, you can use one or more switches in place of the touchscreen to interact with your Android device. If you are unable to engage directly with your device, Switch Access may be useful.
To begin with:
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Select Switch Access under Accessibility.
Install a switch.
As you move your cursor over the objects on your screen, Switch Access highlights each one until you pick it. There are several types of switches available:
Actual switches
- Keyboards and other switches like USB or Bluetooth
- Switches on the device, such as volume buttons
Changes of the camera
- Raise your eyebrows, grin, or open your mouth.
- Look up, left, or right.
Examine your gadget.
You can scan and interact with objects on the screen after setting up a switch.
- Scan linearly by going from item to item one at a time.
- Scan a row at a time using the row-column method. Proceed to choose each item in that list after a row has been chosen.
- Point scanning: Press "Select" after using moving lines to pinpoint a precise horizontal and vertical location.
- Selection of groups: Assign switches to various color categories. Every object on the screen will have a designated color. To activate the desired item, press the switch that corresponds to its color. Reduce the group size until you arrive at a decision.
Make use of the menus
A menu with several activities, such as select, scroll, copy, paste, and more, appears when an element is selected.
To facilitate navigation around your device, a menu will also appear at the top of the screen. You may adjust the volume, access the home screen, and open notifications, among other things.

With Camera Switches, you may use your facial gestures to operate your phone. You can utilize the front camera on your phone to browse through or pick up apps.
To better suit your needs, you can also alter the gestures' sensitivity and duration.

Touch motions that can be initiated via a menu or assigned to a switch can be recorded. Pinching, zooming, scrolling, swiping, double tapping, and other actions are examples of touch gestures.
