You can install Linux on Android without root access with Andronix.

You may install Linux without root access on your Android device with Andronix ⚡️.

How does one go about doing this?

To run your preferred Linux distribution on your Android devices, Andronix uses PRoot.

The terminal for the Andronix Operating System is called Termux.

With Andronix, what are your options?

Basically, everything that you enjoy doing. The limitations of Linux Containers include the inability to support the whole Linux kernel, the SELinux regulations of your Android version, the CPU architecture, and the hardware of your device. Some of our users are switching to Andronix from their real laptops and PCs. You can use Andronix without any problems if you're searching for something that supports online browsing, coding, or anything else that doesn't put a lot of strain on the hardware in your phone.

As long as you have the storage space, you can install all 12 of the OSs—both modded and unmodified—at once without worrying about your system multi-booting. Install as many as you want, then remove them when finished.

How can I get to it?

The Linux containers that Andronix offers can be accessed using a GUI (Graphical User Interface) with different Desktop Environments like LXQt, Xfce, and LXDE, a CLI (Command Line Interface) similar to an SSH connection to a remote system, and finally a GUI powered by Window Managers like Awesome, i3, and Openbox.

Is it without cost?

Indeed! Andronix is totally free to use and has no ads, unlike all unmodified distributions.

However, Modded OS is paid for and quite affordable given that it is a lifetime purchase with limitless

installs without restriction on an infinite number of devices.

As an additional method of supporting the developers, you can also purchase Andronix Premium. A web app to access it from any device and online sync with Andronix Commands are among the benefits you also receive.

Do we use open-source software?

Both yes and no. A portion of Andronix is open-source. Our GitHub repository has all of the shell scripts and tar files for the free distribution. However, for obvious reasons, all of the premium items—such as the Android app itself and all of the files pertaining to Andronix Modded OS(s)—are closed-source.

That being said, we open-source, so it doesn't imply we don't love it. Therefore, we would be more than pleased to provide you with everything for free for life if you're a developer or maintainer of an open-source project. Simply get in contact with us and finish the verification process.
